GreenWorks has provided planning and design services for many infrastructure projects throughout the Northwest ranging from water reservoirs, treatment plants, and pump stations. Working with local, regional, and state government agencies, GreenWorks plans and designs projects to meet infrastructure regulatory and capacity needs while also ensuring they fit into local contexts and have beneficial impacts to nature.

Our experience on over 50 water and wastewater treatment plant projects demonstrates our design approach centered on integrating the site within the community with “neighbor-friendly” approaches.

This work has included planning for adjacent parks and open space, trail and boardwalk design, restoration and native planting plans, site-specific sustainable strategies, and neighborhood mitigation strategies. We have worked with interdisciplinary design teams to increase acceptance of water/wastewater facility projects not only through aesthetically pleasing site landscape design, but also by linking natural resources, recreational opportunities, and people. This integration of sustainable design is a key distinction of our work.
